The Fixed Income Leaders Summit once again brought the industry together in Boston, and OTCX was proud to return as a Principal Sponsor for another memorable week of discussion, networking, and collaboration.
From the opening sessions through to the final day of the conference, FILS delivered what it does best: bringing together market participants from across the buy side, sell side, and wider fixed income ecosystem to share perspectives, explore emerging challenges, and discuss the future direction of the market.
For the OTCX team, the week was filled with valuable conversations. Whether at our roundtable discussion, on the exhibition floor at Stand 36, or during informal meetings throughout the event, it was encouraging to see such strong engagement from firms across the industry.
A particular highlight was the Liquidity & Market Access Innovation roundtable, where OTCX's Nicholas Leib and Patty Oosterbeek joined industry peers to discuss how market participants are approaching liquidity access, price discovery, and evolving market structure. The session generated thoughtful discussion and reinforced the importance of continued innovation as firms navigate increasingly complex trading environments.
Beyond the conference agenda, one of the standout moments of the week was the OTCX-sponsored Skyline Soirée at View Boston.
With panoramic views across the city, the reception provided an opportunity for attendees to step away from the conference floor and connect in a more relaxed setting. Clients, partners, and industry peers joined us for an evening of conversation, networking, and celebration as the conference got underway.
Events like these serve as a reminder that while technology and market structure continue to evolve, relationships remain at the heart of our industry. Some of the most valuable discussions of the week happened not during formal presentations, but during the informal conversations that bring people together and often continue long after the event itself has ended.
The atmosphere throughout the conference reflected a market that continues to evolve at pace. Discussions ranged from liquidity and market access to trading workflows, operational efficiency, and the opportunities created by new technologies. Across every conversation, there was a clear willingness among participants to share experiences, challenge assumptions, and learn from one another.
Adding an extra layer of energy to the week was the start of the FIFA World Cup. OTCX embraced the occasion by bringing a little football spirit to Boston, with our now-famous OTCX footballs making appearances throughout the conference and proving to be surprisingly effective conversation starters along the way.
As the week came to a close, we left Boston with fresh perspectives, new connections, and a renewed appreciation for the collaborative spirit that continues to drive the fixed income industry forward.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at FILS, visited us at Stand 36, attended the Skyline Soirée, or simply stopped for a conversation during the week. We would also like to thank Nicolas Koechlin, Nicholas Leib, Rob Gray, Nicholas Stephan, and Patty Oosterbeek for representing OTCX throughout the event.
We look forward to continuing the conversations that began in Boston and seeing many of you again at future industry events.
